New Year's Day 5K
Established 1991 The New Year's Day 5K is a holiday tradition that benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia. A family-friendly race with a late start (11AM) attracts hundreds of runners each year to the Free Union course. |
Charlottesville Ten Miler
Established 1976 The Charlottesville Ten Miler is the area's oldest and most prestigious footrace. Widely considered to be the "most scenic urban course" in the state, this rolling tour of Charlottesville brings runners through Jefferson's beautiful UVa "grounds", up Rugby Road, down Preston, up the historic downtown mall, around Court Square and the gorgeous Park Street neighborhoods, up main street and by the famous University "Corner." |
All-Comers Summer Track Meets
Established in 1975 The club's original race series, All-Comers Summer Track Meets, continues its long term streak of providing an opportunity for folks of all ages and abilities to race distances from 100 meters to 5K. |
Bruce Barnes Mile
Established 1992 This unique one mile road race (the only one in our area) is an all downhill, with its steepest descent over the last quarter mile. The race was created as a tribute to long-time CTC member Bruce Barnes. |
Women's Four Miler
Established 1983 The Charlottesville Women's Four Miler is the CTC's largest event and most impressive fundraiser. |
