Women's Four Miler Training Program
Looking for some way to give back this summer to a program where many of you started out? The famous Women's Four Miler Training Program begins June 16, 2018 and we are looking for volunteers to assist with the more than 1,000 participants. If you can devote Saturday mornings (7-9 am), it would be appreciated and rewarding. Volunteer shirts provided! And all ladies look great in PINK! You only need to commit to as many Saturdays as you can, not the entire program (June 16 - August 25, 2018), but you are more than welcome to help at as many sessions as you'd like and the more continuity in Pink "mentors" the better.
Race Timing Volunteers
Are you good with a computer? Good with numbers? Tired of staying home or just standing around while your partner/parent/child is off running another race? Why not join our Charlottesville Track Club Results Team? From timing simple races with craft sticks to compiling results for over a thousand runners, we do our best to give prompt and accurate times for our races and for non-profit events through the area. It’s challenging work but a great way to be a part of our running community. We can teach you how to use our equipment and run scoring software. You get to see the leaders stretch to beat the clock, and the joy of people finishing their first ever run. You get the occasional shirt, food and prizes, and the satisfaction of being an important part of so many worthy causes. Most of the runs we time are on Saturday mornings. The more capable volunteers we have, the better job we can all do. If you’re interested, please contact us at email@example.com.
